Yesterday the twelve schooners in the annual windjammer race crossed the finish line in Rockland Harbor under full sail in a stiff NW wind.
The oldest, Stephan Tabor (1871) was first overall. The Lewis B French was also built in 1871. The most distinctive, Victory Chimes with her three equal height mast, was built in 1900. 
They are now anchored at the south end of the harbor.

Where else could you see something like this. It is a tribute to the beauty of the Maine coast. How fortunate we are.  Cheers,  Paul
